At Shadikey, we stand behind the quality of our services. This Return & Refund Policy outlines when and how you may request a refund for any subscription or payment made on our platform.
Since Shadikey is a digital service platform, the concept of "returns" does not apply in the traditional sense. However, we offer refunds under specific circumstances as detailed below.
π‘ Quick Summary: We offer a 7-day refund window for new premium subscriptions if you haven't used the premium features. After 7 days, all sales are final except in cases of technical failure or duplicate charges.

β Refund Eligibility
You are eligible for a full refund under the following circumstances:
1. 7-Day Satisfaction Guarantee
If you subscribe to any paid plan and are not satisfied, you may request a full refund within 7 days of purchase, provided:
- The refund request is made within 7 days of the subscription start date
- You have not used the premium features (unlimited swipes, "who liked me," etc.) more than 5 times
- Your account is in good standing (not banned or suspended)
- This is your first refund request on Shadikey
2. Technical Failure
You are eligible for a full refund if:
- A verified technical error on our side prevented you from accessing premium features for more than 72 consecutive hours
- You were charged but your subscription was not activated due to a payment gateway error
- A known platform bug materially impacted your experience during the subscription period
3. Duplicate Charges
If you were charged more than once for the same subscription period, we will immediately refund the duplicate charge(s) upon verification.
4. Unauthorized Transactions
If a payment was made from your account without your authorization, contact us immediately at billing@shadikey.in. We will investigate and refund if unauthorized access is confirmed.
β Non-Refundable Cases
Refunds will not be issued in the following situations:
- Refund requests made after the 7-day window has expired
- Subscriptions where premium features were used extensively (more than 5 times)
- Account suspension or termination due to violation of Terms & Conditions
- Change of mind after using the service
- Dissatisfaction with match quality or number of matches (as matching depends on available profiles)
- Inability to find a partner (Shadikey facilitates connections but cannot guarantee outcomes)
- Refund requests from accounts that are banned for misconduct
- Partial month usage for monthly plans that have been cancelled mid-term
- Promotional, discounted, or free trial subscriptions
- Subscriptions purchased through third-party resellers
β οΈ Shadikey is a matchmaking platform, not a guarantee of marriage or relationship success. Refunds cannot be issued solely on the basis of not finding a suitable partner.
π How to Request a Refund
To submit a refund request, please follow these steps:
Gather Information
Have your registered mobile number, transaction ID or payment receipt, subscription plan name, and purchase date ready.
Submit Your Request
Email us at billing@shadikey.in with subject "Refund Request β [Your Mobile Number]" or use our Contact Us form selecting "Billing & Refund" as the category.
Provide Details
Include: reason for refund, transaction ID, screenshots of any errors (if technical issue), and your preferred refund method.
Await Review
Our billing team will review your request within 2 business days and may contact you for additional information.
Receive Confirmation
Once approved, you'll receive a confirmation email and your refund will be processed to the original payment method.
β±οΈ Processing & Timeline
Once your refund is approved, processing times vary by payment method:
- UPI / Wallets (Paytm, PhonePe): 1β3 business days
- Debit/Credit Cards (Razorpay/Stripe): 5β7 business days
- Net Banking: 3β5 business days
- EMI Transactions: 7β14 business days (EMI cancellation may apply)
π Total timeline: Refund requests are reviewed within 2 business days. After approval, the amount reaches your account within 5β10 business days depending on your bank.
We will notify you via registered mobile number and email at each stage of the refund process. If you don't receive your refund within the stated timeframe, please contact your bank before reaching out to us.
β‘ Partial Refunds
In certain situations, we may issue a partial (pro-rated) refund:
- Service Downtime: If our platform was inaccessible for more than 24 hours during your subscription period, we'll credit the proportional days as an account credit or partial refund
- Plan Downgrade: If you downgrade from Gold to Premium mid-cycle, we'll credit the price difference as account credits
- Billing Disputes: In cases where we determine partial responsibility, we may offer a pro-rated refund at our discretion
Partial refunds are calculated on a per-day basis: (Total amount paid Γ· Total subscription days) Γ Remaining days = Refund amount.
π³ Payment Issues
Failed Payments
If your payment failed but money was deducted from your account, it will automatically reverse within 3β5 business days per your bank's policy. If it doesn't reverse, contact us with your bank statement showing the deduction.
Payment Gateway Disputes
If you raise a chargeback with your bank/card provider without contacting us first, your Shadikey account will be temporarily suspended pending investigation. We encourage you to contact us directly at billing@shadikey.in first for faster resolution.
GST & Taxes
All subscription prices are inclusive of applicable GST (18%). Refunds include the full amount paid including taxes.
π Subscription Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time through the app's Account Settings. Here's what happens when you cancel:
- Your premium access continues until the end of the current billing period
- You will not be charged for the next period (subscriptions are not auto-renewed unless opted in)
- Cancellation does not automatically trigger a refund β you must separately request a refund if eligible
- After cancellation, your account reverts to the Free plan at the end of the billing period
